Tuesday, December 21 2010 I went to my SMA to give presentation about my college. From my presentation, I hope many students interested in SSE. Even though they do not want to be a teacher, at least they have reference or plan B, if their purpose do not achieved. I want they school after graduate from SMA. I do not want they become unemployment or hopeless to get education.
When I prepared for my presentation, I saw not many students came, only few students who have big spirit to get education. In my college, there is a program called students financing which is school with free payment but pay after they graduate and get a job. That’s what students looking for. They want to school, no matter what, they really want to get to school freely. Because they do not have enough money to continue their study even in the cheap school. They do not hesitate that they have to pay after they graduate, because the important thing is they still can get to school.
Looking at their spirit to get good education, I was motivated to be excited too to give presentation. I gave them all information that I have. I also gave them all advices that I thought they need it. Wow, wow, wow, if all teenager of Indonesia have a big spirit to get good education is the same like that, Indonesia will never cry again. Indonesia will be able to take care of himself. Now it’s time for Indonesia to get up. Go students of Indonesia. Be a big boss in your country. That is the real dream…

I experience the same. most students dont really interesting to be a teacher. but they are still attracted to get student financing (who not?!). Youre right to say that we have to be the boss of our own country^^
last holiday, I would do the same, but I worried that they wouldn't care with my explanation about my college..
next holiday, I will do it.. thanks, your writing has motivated me..
hmm , hopefully the rest who didn't came will also interest after they hear the information from their friends who came ya :)
actually, when I told some of my friends about this scholars most of them are interest but some of them felt afraid with the nominal itself ..
the worried they can't payback the money ..
but you know , I told them that we of course can give back more then that next , because we will have good ability and it will be make our payment much and more :)

Nu, i think students who didn't come to your presentation also has spirit to get high education. They just had no interest to be a teacher.

Yeah,,,you are right there are still many people do not trust their life to become a teacher. But it's okay, whatever they want to be, they have to be the boss in their nation, not somebody else. this nation is ours, right?

at the beginning, that is usual ifah. you are going to be a teacher. you will face so many students' parents, you will speak in front of the public, so you have to be confidence enough to do it. because the key is in you. if you bring good atmosphere in your class, your class is yours. ok?

and about the payback, I also got that question from many teenagers of Indonesia who want to continue their study. But i told them that if the accepted to get this scholarship, is all because of the contribution from scholar who get scholarship before. and I told them that they paycheck is for thei generation to get to school. I told them that education is like investment. so, they have to understand and bear with it.
after i told them that words, they understyand and full of spirit to continue their effort to get good education.
maybe you can try this way.
